Last week I had the privilege of leading yoga classes for a group of professionals at a lawyers conference I attended in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This opportunity brought my two passions together - the practice of law and the practice of yoga.
We held the sessions at sunrise, near the pool of the beautiful and historic Caravelle hotel, just as the city began to wake up. The sessions were a chance for all of us to recharge our bodies and minds so that we could tackle each day with renewed energy and clarity. It was also a lovely little bonding experience and I loved the moments of connection and community it created. I received wonderful feedback from those who attended the sessions which made my heart full.
As professionals with demanding schedules, integrating wellness practices like yoga into our professional lives is crucial. In a world that often feels chaotic and overwhelming, yoga offers a sanctuary of peace and serenity that is accessible to all and I couldn't help but feel immensely grateful for the opportunity to share this practice with my peers.
At the conclusion of the conference I flew with a few colleagues to Tia Wellness Resort in Da Nang for some post-conference R&R which included yoga, tai chi, relaxing by the ocean and exploring the ancient town of Hoi An.
From the landscapes, to the cuisine to the customs, I loved every moment of my time in this beautiful country. It was truly a transformative experience and I will carry these memories with me forever.
